Frequently Asked Questions
We know inviting someone into your home is a big decision. We want you to feel completely confident and informed every step of the way. Here are answers to some of the questions we hear most often from our families.
-
We always recommend booking as early as possible so you have the widest selection of availability. However, we know life is unpredictable! For standard babysitting, a few days notice is wonderful. For nanny placements or ongoing care, reaching out a few weeks ahead gives us the time to make the perfect, thoughtful match.
-
Yes! To secure your requested dates and reserve a dedicated caregiver for your family, a deposit is required at the time of booking. This deposit guarantees your spot on our schedule and is applied directly toward your overall service invoice.
-
Yes we do! Our Last Minute Care service is designed exactly for those unexpected moments. While we can't guarantee availability at a moment's notice, we'll do absolutely everything we can to get a trusted caregiver to your door when your regular plans fall through.
-
If your caregiver is sick: Because you're part of our village, you are never left scrambling alone. If your assigned caregiver is unwell, our agency steps in immediately to connect you with a fully vetted backup caregiver from our team so your day can continue smoothly.
If your child or household member is sick: To keep our caregivers and other families safe, we ask that you notify us as soon as possible if anyone in your home is showing signs of contagious illness. We will work with you to reschedule your care or follow our health and illness policy guidelines.
-
Absolutely! We love it when families build a strong bond with a specific caregiver. You can always request your favorite person, and we'll do our very best to prioritize your family on their schedule.
-
Our professional services begin at $25 per hour. Rates vary depending on the specific support your family needs, whether that is occasional babysitting, a full time nanny placement, household management, or mommy helpers. Once you submit a request, we build a customized, completely clear quote just for you so you know the exact rate before you book.
-
Yes! We offer care on designated holidays to support your family when you need it most. We deeply value our team and the time they spend away from their own families, so caregivers receive a premium holiday pay rate for holiday shifts. When you request care for a holiday, your customized quote will clearly reflect this rate before you book.
If any designated holidays fall on a weekend, the officially federally observed day will also be recognized as a holiday. If the caregiver is scheduled to work on either the actual holiday or the federally observed day, the holiday premium will apply to all hours worked on those days.
-
For nanny placements, house managers, and ongoing household support, we absolutely help arrange a time for you to meet and connect before care begins. For occasional babysitting or short-term support, we provide you with a detailed, personalized profile ahead of time so you can learn all about them and feel completely comfortable before they arrive.
-
We keep our cancellation policy simple and fair to respect both your changing schedule and our caregivers' time. Cancellations made with short notice will incur a cancellation fee to ensure our caregivers are fairly compensated for their reserved time. When you book care with us, your agreement will detail the exact notice terms for adjusting or canceling a shift seamlessly.
-
We focus on compatibility and intention!
For families: we review your specific needs, schedule, and household values to connect you with a vetted team member who fits your home seamlessly.
For caregivers: we match you with families based on your availability, experience, and preferred role. Whether you are seeking care or looking to join our team, we ensure both sides feel completely confident and aligned before a placement begins.
